Half of respondents from the Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal areas would consider moving to one of Canada’s 15 most affordable cities if they were able to find a job or work remotely, according to a Royal LePage survey.
The triple whammy of high demand and building costs, plus elevated interest rates will impact the housing industry across most of Canada through 2024, offering no relief to Canadians seeking entry into the housing market, the CMHC predicts.
